EPA, POLITICIANS AND THE MYTH OF THE MEEK INHERITING THE EARTH
EPA as well as federal and state politicians have co-opted the Bible to justify the spreading of toxic and disease
contaminated sewage sludge and other waste on food crops, even on your garden, as unlabelled fertilizer with a
completed disregard for human health and the environment. In the 1979 EPA work, “History of Land Application as a
Treatment Alternative," on page 6 the government verifies that the Old Testament God was an advanced human when
EPA states, "At least two verses in the Bible refer to land application of waste (Deuteronomy xxiii,13 and Judges iii, 20)."
Actually, in Deuteronomy 23, the Lord declared shit is unclean and He does not want to step in any of it as he walks
about the camp. Therefore, it is to be buried outside the camp. He did not authorize it to be put on food crops and your
lawn. The second reference in Judges 3 has nothing to do with land application of waste, unless, you consider the
Lord's order for an assassin to rip a king's gut open and let the shit fall on the palace floor land application. That would
definitely be unclean.
We have been exposing the lack of regulations and dangers associated with sludge issues for the past 20 years and
documented the research at www.deadlydeceit.com and www.thewatchers.us. However, we never expected the
government to invoke religion as the authority for sludge dumping on farmland. Since the government verifies that a
human like God existed, it is easier to understand why its Agencies are writing regulations that allow corporations to
poison us and steal our money. It is time to find out what the government knows. This becomes much more important
when politicians and churches join forces to create restrictive laws against individual human nature that do not impose
on the rights of anyone else. Today, the political correct thing is not to talk about sludge, sex, religion or politics.
However, politicians open this door and we have to walk through it and be politically incorrect -- but very factual.
Since federal and state governments have gotten away with lies about the safety of sludge for over 30 years, changed
federal and state laws to allow poisoning of our food and water, religious politicians, Catholics and some Evangelical
churches are now extending the war again meek people by not only taking their money, but focusing on creating laws
which destroy human rights. It would appear the war on sex, women and gays is an attempt to divert our attention from
the meek corporations who have taken over the government and stole trillions of dollars, the life savings of many
thousands of people.
Merriam-Webster defines meek as "enduring injury with patience and without resentment." However, politicians and
churches understand the Bible defines those "violent and strong" individuals as meek. For centuries, the churches fit
that description and some priest and ministers still subscribe to that belief. In the Bible, the meek got to take who and
what they wanted -- women -- money -- power -- and God loved them. The public relations campaigns are no longer
working to control people, therefore a direct attack diverts energy and attention. These Christian republican politicians
who care nothing about people are willing to give up the election in their efforts to protect the corporate money machine.
Jesus judged no man or woman, except the Pharisees and Sadducees who came to his baptism, he said to them, "O
generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” In that vein, we can look at state and federal
politicians as well as churches who are determined to take our laws and rights back into the dark ages with laws aimed
specifically at women to prevent abortion, same sex marriage, etc., no matter the cost to women and society.
We can see by the government and churches' actions in protecting their own powerful representatives from
whistleblowers, that the God of the Bible may be supplying the template for their actions. This was the God of one
incestuous family, who because of their power, could do no wrong. Forget the laws of Deuteronomy and Leviticus, they
didn't apply to this family of sinners.
If you don't believe God loves sinners, why would we have so many sinners in Washington claiming to be rabid
Christians against abortion? The truth is they are just following in the footsteps of the Old Testament leaders who did
not have a problem killing any child. It is simply a matter of political control aimed at an idea, or a group, which can be
demonized. We are expected to conform and accept whatever they say with meekness. However, our idea and their
idea of meekness is much different.
The powerful religious politicians in Washington and money men of Wall street fully understand the true meaning of the
meekness cliché in Psalm 37:11, “But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of
peace.” With the Occupy Movement, it appears that in their meekness they may have inherited all of our money, but
their peace has come to an end. To really understand the meaning of meekness for these powerful people, we have to
look in the Book of Numbers 12, where we find “(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were
upon the face of the earth.)” Moses was a man who could order the death of his own people, force eleven tribes to
acknowledge his tribe as the major law making religious body, to which they must not only obey, but must donate a
tenth of everything they own or would get. Now that does not equate with the Christian version of meekness as we
The reality is that Christianity just does not serve the needs of Wall Street or the racist right wing hate-mongering
politicians and their war on women. The founding fathers of this great nation as well as Jesus studied the Old Testament
and found it wanting. That was why Jesus separated from the Church and our illustrious founding fathers decided to
separate Church and government. Historically, Church leaders following the tenets of the Old Testament and some of
the New Testament tend to get too caught up in their own importance as well as the money derived from making
ordinary people believe they were guilty sinners or can become rich by giving the church all their money. As an example,
Churches are against homosexuals, but guess were the homosexual scandals have been unveiled?
As a follower of the Christian concept, "The Golden Rule of Reciprocity", I am not against religion as it can be extremely
helpful to many troubled people in the hands of caring pastors or priests, of which there are many. Unfortunately, we
have to keep in mind the warning in Matthew 7-16, "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns,
or figs of thistles?" However, we should all question religious righteousness when it is used to victimized abused victims
of society. While the current crop of republican presidential candidates appear to be religious gatekeepers, the trickle
down effect of their misinformation is a disaster for society. As an example, an email circulating on the Internet
references Paul in Romans and claims “He, God and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. While Paul was preaching his version
of Hebrew law to the Gentiles, neither God or Jesus were 'gay bashers' as will be demonstrated.
Republican politicians in states as well as in Washington DC, and Billionaires on Wall Street are engaging in a full scale
war, or as Charles Koch puts it, the "mother of all wars", against women, birth control, abortion, children, gays and
anyone not rich enough to be useful to their cause. The truth is that if boys and men would just learn to keep their penis
in their pants, and quit lying to girls and women about how much they love them (at least until they get sex) at least half
the perceived problem would be solved. These young snakes have been using that line on young women since Gadreel
led Eve astray and she was introduced to the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. Let's face the truth, all a woman has to
do is touch the penis and it immediately becomes the tree of life. All that has to be done then is plant the tree of life's
seed in the right place and life will be created in nine months. However, in another chapter, the mechanical tree of life on
the Cherub will be discussed.
Biblical writers appear to blame women for men's failure to live up to the just ideals of a spiritual nature and God's rules
without understanding what those rules entail. The truth is Biblical writers pointed out the perverse nature of men who
took advantage of these women and cause the downfall of the Hebrew people. Not only that, it shows they were
ashamed of being born through a woman. A woman was religiously unclean for seven days after a male child was born
and two weeks after a female child was born. How much more unclean then is the child that comes through her vagina.
While some men may be ashamed of coming into this world through the vagina, Most men spend a good portion of their
life trying to get back in it. Women that are controlled have always been the easy target as indicated in Job 25:4 when
Bildad ask, "How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?" The modern
version would read, How can God expect me to be pure, when I came from this inferior woman's vagina?”
It was the preacher's conviction in Ecclesiastes 7:28 that there are few good men and he never found a good woman.
He said, "Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all
those have I not found".
There was a good reason the preacher never found his equal among women – women were property that were bought,
sold, given away or captives. They were at the complete mercy of men, just where the current conservative political
fanatics want them to be. The conservative view is that it is well and good to tell a woman any lie if it will get her in bed,
but there is no way he would marry a slut dumb enough to believe his lies.
In his teaching, Jesus didn't look down on any woman. He accepted them as equals. However, the New Testament
writers didn't necessarily hold his enlightened views, especially Timothy who said, "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor
to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
These fanatics want to turn back the clock for you to follow the tenets of those ancient religious leaders who placed no
value on women above that of livestock, rather than adhere to the non-judgmental principles of God and Jesus. The
plan is to control those who do not read the Bible as closely as they did. The problem, they have just become to
aggressive in their lies in an efforts to control the less educated who believe their religious public education program.
Laws against women's health rights violate the tenets of Christianity as well as historical precepts of reciprocity in
On the other hand, Oklahoma Senator Constance Johnson recently attached an amendment to a “personhood” Bill to
protect sperm and masturbaters who couldn't con a woman into accepting the sperm in her vagina. That was a wise
move to protect those Oklahomans who believe God killed Onan for dropping his seed on the ground, rather than
getting his wife Tamar pregnant.
While there was more to the story than meets the eye, even Protestant Reformer, Martin Luther, thought this was a sin
worse than incest and adultery. In 1968, Pope Paul VI reaffirmed that even coitus interruptus (withdrawal method) was a
sin, although he didn't claim it was a sin worthy of getting killed by God. Today, the Catholic Church is gearing up for a
religious war over the lawful health insurance requirement for insurance companies to pay for contraceptives.
Along with anti-abortion laws, fanatical politicians in about a quarter of the states have enacted or in the process of
enacting "wrongful birth" and "wrongful life" laws. These laws are not intended to protect life, or the health of the baby.
They are created to protect doctors who are forbidden from discussing a fetus' health status that might lead to or even
require an abortion. That means even if rape was involved or a doctor knows a fetus will be stillborn, a vegetable, miss
arms or legs, a genetic freak or cause the death of the mother the doctor must not disclose the problem and he/she will
be protected by the state against malpractice suits and – there is no recourse for the parents -- or remaining parent.
How can any of these people profess to be a Christian? That is neither moral, ethical, religious and it is damn sure not
You have to wonder where these fanatical politicians get their information since God wasn't against sex or abortion. In
fact, God had no problem killing the child of David and Bathsheba as punishment (not for their adulterous relationship,
but) for David having Bathsheba's husband killed to cover up the relationship.
Most people don't realize that the Old Testament is a genealogical record of a very powerful tribal family that would have
a serious problem existing in the modern western world, although some backward nations still follows the practices. As
such, the rulers get to make the rules and the result was/is disastrous for women.
In fact, it appears the writers really didn't like this powerful Hebrew family of Israelites and inserted the laws to make them
look like a bunch of sexual perverts. On the other hand God picked them so He had to love them because they had the
power. However, even God gave up on them after so long of a time and destroyed most of them.
We tend to think of God as omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient which makes it a little strange that He/She would
choose an incestuous family group with a violent nature to show his power. The story centers around the brothers
Abram, Nahor, Haran and their sister Sarai as well as the incestuous and murderous descendants. Their great-
grandfather Serug was the last of the mighty men of old who lived over two hundred years. Abram and Sarai are better
known as the husband and wife team, Abraham and Sarah.
Nahor has little to do with the story other than he married his niece, Haran's daughter Milcah. Their daughter Rebekah
was married off to Abraham's son Isaac. Nahor's granddaughters, Leah and Rachel, were sold to Abraham's grandson
Jacob, who was later renamed Israel by God. Milcah's brother Lot was to be a major player in the story for all the wrong
When Abraham entered Egypt, Sarah was introduced as his sister when she caught the Pharaoh's eye and was taken
into his palace. He paid Abraham well for her with “sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and
maidservants, and she asses, and camels.” Of course God quickly made a believer out of the Pharaoh who gave Sarah
back and let Abraham keep all the loot.
Abraham also pulled the same trick on Abimelech, king of Gerar. God also made a believer out of Abimelech who had
given Abraham a thousand pieces of silver, sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants and any land he
wanted. Like the Pharoah, Abimelech returned Sarah to Abraham but he didn't get his money back either.
Isaac the son of Abraham and Sarah was the first miraculous birth provided by the angels. Abraham was 100 and Sarah
was 90 years old when she became pregnant. Isaac married his father Abraham's great niece Rebekah. Isaac tried to
pull the same stunt as his father had on King Abimelech by claiming Rebekah was his sister. However, Abimelech was
smarter that time and didn't get caught in the trap.
They had two sons, Esau and Jacob. Jacob married his mother Rebekah's nieces Leah and Rachel. Jacob worked for
seven years for Rachel - but was tricked into taking her sister Leah as his first wife, then he had to work another seven
years to get Rachel. However, Jacob did alright. He left with a major part of his father-in-law's wealth including the
household God. Rebekah also helped her son Jacob steal the firstborn blessings from his brother Esau.
Of equal interest, the writers claim Leah was hated and couldn't have children, but God took pity and opened her womb
and she produced the principal characters for the Old Testament stories, Reuben, Judah, Simeon, Levi, Dinah and their
Dinah caught the eye of Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country where the family stopped.
According to the story Shechem took her to bed and fell in love. His father Hamor begged Jacob to let his son marry her
promising to pay what ever price that was requested. Jacob and his sons agreed to the marriage if Shechem and every
man of the city agreed to get circumcised so they could become one people.
It was a trick of course. On the third day after the mass circumcision Simeon and Levi took up their swords and killed
every man in the city. Their brothers then proceed to loot and destroy the city, taking the women and children as slaves.
They also took all the sheep as well as their oxen and their asses.
Jacob was not happy when he blessed his wayward children. He said, “Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of
cruelty – Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter
them in Israel.” That curse did not work out too good for the Hebrew people or for us.
Jacob was not happy with Reuben either. Reuben had sex with Bilhah, his father's concubine. For this Jacob said he
was “Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel.”
Judah was suppose to be the strong one to carry the sceptre and the rest would bow down before him. That did not
work out to well either as Judah was responsible for selling their brother Joseph to their cousins, the Midianite
merchantmen for twenty pieces of silver, who then sold him to the Egyptians.
Things moved along quietly until Levi's sister Jochabed was married off to her nephew Amram. They had three children,
Aaron, Miriam and Moses. It is said that to save the life of Moses, he was put in a reed basket by his mother and floated
into the life of Pharaoh's daughter, who raised him as an Egyptian prince.
It is said that when Moses was grown, he killed an Egyptian guard for mistreating Hebrew slaves. Even the slaves
questioned his motives. As a result, Moses was forced to run for his life. It turned out alright as he married Zipporah, the
daughter of Reuel, a Midianite Priest. Ruel was actually Jacobs nephew, the son of Esau. It can be assumed that Ruel
taught Moses the benefits of being a priest. Many years later, after his enemies where dead, Moses met God, who said,
“I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” God then sent Moses and
Aaron back to Egypt to free the Hebrew slaves.
According to the written word, they were successful in this endeavor and on the way out of Egypt with all their flocks and
herds“-- the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver,
and jewels of gold, and raiment.” Moses even took the bones of Joseph with them.
In the wilderness Moses had a few problems with his people until God “anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them,
that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.” God then called Moses up on the mountain top to get His
Commandments. When Moses was delayed from coming down the mountain, “the people gathered themselves together
unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought
us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.”
Aaron agreed if they would take the golden earrings from their wives, sons, and daughters to make a golden god. When
Moses came down off the mountain and saw the golden calf he asked Aaron why he did it. Aaron told him the people
were full of mischief and besides, all he did was take the golden earrings and throw them in the fire -- and the calf came
Moses was so upset he called on the Levities to get their swords and go through the camp killing “every man his
brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.” That statement implies that homosexuals were
accepted by the Hebrews or Israelites. Needless to say, that day Moses took total control of the descendants Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob (Israel) having the Levities kill 3,000 of their fellow brother tribesmen.
Having taken religious control, the other eleven tribes would contribute 10% of everything (animals, food, drink, captives
and cities) they owned or looted to the Levites because God would live in the fabulous tabernacle they built for Him. Not
only that, but in Deuteronomy 23 we find that God Himself would walk in the middle of the camp and he did not want to
see any shit on the ground. Therefore, everyone would find a place outside the camp, dig a hole with their paddle, do
their business, and then cover it up.
Believe it or not, EPA refers to this chapter as proof that God approves of dumping pathogen and chemical
contaminated sewage sludge on food crops, grazing land and even your lawn. It also references a passage in Judges
too. In the 1979 work, “History of Land Application as a Treatment Alternative" (p.6) EPA states, "At least two verses in
the Bible refer to land application of waste (Deuteronomy xxiii,13 and Judges iii, 20)."
The second reference appears to be directed at activists as it was about delivering a message from God to their enemy,
Eglon, king of Moab. The verse states, (20) "And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he
had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat." The next
verses explains that the message from God was a dagger delivered to the gut of Eglon, "and the dirt came out."
The Levite Priesthood created a multitude of laws the other eleven tribes were required to follow, but like the laws of
today, there were exceptions and immunity provisions provided the proper offerings for trespass or sin were paid. The
Catholic Church pick up on this with its confessions for forgiveness as the gateway to heaven, which is a good thing in
one way, but give the priest control of your life. Federal agencies also follow this example for protecting corporations.
Trespass was God's term for the law of adultery given to Moses in Numbers 5. It is law that gives a Priest unique powers
over a woman. It states that if a woman commits trespass against her husband by having sex with another man, even if
she keeps quite about it, there are no witnesses, and she isn't pregnant, a jealous husband may bring her to a Priest for
judgment. Even if she wasn't unfaithful, a jealous man could also bring his wife to the Priest for judgment. The husbands
price for judgment was “the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal.”
Of course, God actually made the judgment after the Priest laid a curse on the wife making her drink bitter water that
causes a curse. If the wife, or woman, is guilty, the water turns bitter and causes her stomach to swell up as well as
making her thigh rot. On the other hand, if the wife is clean, she will be free and become pregnant. This would be the
perfect opportunity for a an unethical Priest to take advantage of a woman in a very bad situation.
God didn't like uppity women talking about his chosen ones either. As an example, when Miriam and Aaron spoke out
about the fact that their brother Moses had married out of the tribe to an Ethiopian woman (his cousin Zipporah), God
came down and personally put a curse on Miriam and she was banned from the camp for a week. Actually, a woman was
unclean by law for a week during her period. However, Aaron kept his job as Chief Priest with grace.
The priesthood lost much of its power as judges, prophets, and kings took power. The problem was that the Priests
became very greedy as described in 1 Samuel 2. When any man offered a sacrifice the Priest's servants were there to
take what they want and if he was told it wasn't ready he said, “Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it
The second miraculous birth can be found in Judges 13 when an angel appeared to the wife of Manoah and told her
she would get pregnant. The angel said, “the child shall be a Nazarite to God.” Unlike the angels who visited Abraham
and Sarah, this woman appears to be much younger. The angel visited her twice to give her the good news, and even
stayed long enough for her to run get Monoah, who questioned the angel. What is strange that the angel told them the
child must never have his hair cut. The law of the Nazarite states that only when a man or woman is through serving the
Lord will their hair be cut outside the door of the tabernacle. The son was named Samson who loved all the wrong
women and died for that mistake when Delilah cut his hair.
In Judges 19, we find a Levite who took himself a wife/concubine (both titles are given). You know the woman is going to
be in real danger when the first thing written is, “his concubine played the whore against him” by going home to her
father's house for four months. Like any abuser of women, the Levite was real friendly when he went to her father's
house to get her back. Unfortunately, the young lady would never make it home. The Levite claimed as they were
spending the night in Gibeah, the men of the tribe of Benjamin wanted to rape him. Rather than go out of the house, he
push his wife out and they raped and abused her all night until she was dead. When he got the body home, he cut her
body into twelve pieces and sent them to the twelve tribes.
Needless to say, on the word of a Levite who called his wife a whore for leaving him and then in his anger killed her, the
eleven tribes of Israel took his word. They wanted the men he claimed committed this terrible crime brought to justice.
Unfortunately, the tribe of Benjamin could not find any witness or evidence of the crime, therefore, they could not
produce the alleged criminals. Nevertheless, on the word of a single man, the war was on by the order of God. In the
first two days, the tribe of Benjamin killed 40,000 Israelite warriors. The third day the Israelites killed 25,100 Benjaminite
warriors and all of the women and children leaving just 600 men who escaped alive. Being the kind meek people they
were, the Israelites were remorse and didn't want the tribe to die out, so they had to figure out a way to get wives for
However, the Israelites had sworn not to let any of their women marry into the tribe so they look for a group that had not
joined in the fight. In counting the people present they found no one from the city of Jabeshgilead. Without considering
that they might all have been killed, a war party was ordered to go destroy the inhabitants of Jabeshgilead (men,
women and children) except for the marriageable age virgins. They only found 400 virgins, not quite enough to supply
wives to the men of Benjamin who had survived. They decided that during the feast of the Lord at Shiloh the remaining
men of Benjamin could take wives from the young women who came out to dance without breaking their oath not to let
any of their women marry a Benjaminite.
However, for the new religion Christianity to be created from the descendants of Abraham and his family, one of the
descendants of the Levities, Jesus, had to die. On the other hand, the new religion needed to be connected to God's
continued love of David, which was through Joseph. This make the stories rather interesting.
This is were Lot steps into his important role. Everyone knows that God made sure Lot was well out of
Sodom and Gomorrah before He destroyed the cities. We remember Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt because
she looked back in violation of God's orders. Lot's two married daughters also accompanied their father even though
their husbands refused to leave the city. It is written that in the mountains the girls plied Lot with wine for two night in a
row and each night one of them took advantage of the poor man so they could preserve his sperm. While we don't know
the name of Lot's wife or daughters, the children of the incestuous relationships were named Mob and Benammi. They
became the leaders of the Moabites and Ammon tribes. A Moabite woman by the name of Ruth would become the great-
grandmother of King David, in complete disregard for God's law.
Judah is the other side of the line to King David through his daughter-in-law Tamar. It is clear that God wanted Tamar to
be in the line of King David in the worse way. Judah's son Er was the first to marry Tamar. However, for some unknown
reason Er pissed off God and was killed for his unnamed crime. Then Judah married Tamar to Er's brother Onan as was
the custom. Unfortunately, Onan didn't want to honor his brothers name with a child, so when he had sex with Tamar, he
dropped his sperm on the ground. Needless to say, God was not pleased and Onan had to die for that sin. It appears
that God need a descendant specifically from the line of Tamar and Judah.
Judah had come to the conclusion that Tamar was bad luck and would not let her marry Shelah, his last son, even
though he had promised to do so. Being the resourceful girl she was, when Judah went out to visit his sheepshears,
Tamar sat by the road like a harlot and Judah fell into her and God's trap. He had sex with her and she became
pregnant with Phares/Pharez. His descendant Boaz was to be the great-grandfather of King David.
This did not bode well for the descendants of Boaz and Ruth in the third and fourth generation as pointed out in
Numbers 14:18, “ The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means
clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth.” Now, it had to be a
lawyer who wrote that sentence. The Lord shows mercy and forgiveness to the sinners, but passes the guilt down to the
children in the third and fourth generation.
While the Old Testament names Salmon as the father of Boaz, only Matthew names Rachab as his mother. There
seems to be a typo in the name Rachab as this spelling is only used once. Apparently, it should be Rahab, the harlot
who save the spies Joshua sent into Jericho. Rahab was taken in by the Israelites before they destroyed Jericho and
she is spoken of highly in the New Testament books Hebrews and James.
The Book of Ruth is unusual since it is named for Ruth the Moabitess, the widow of Mahlon. Ruth was the daughter-in-
law of Naomi, widow of Elimelech of Bethlehem-judah. The focus of the Book is getting Ruth together with Naomi's close
and very rich kinsman, Boaz. Both are kind caring people. In other words, just normal folks who look after each other
and their families. The only apparent reason the Book was included was to bring the incestuous lines of Judah and Lot
together so as to provide great-grandparents for king David. The most interesting thing is that this is a union forbidden
by God in 1 Kings 11:2, as Moab is one “Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye
shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods:
Solomon clave unto these in love.”
It wasn't long after God anointed the Benjaminite Saul as king that he took Ruth's great-grandson David. The implication
is that David may have been bisexual. According to 1 Samuel 18, Saul's son Jonathan fell in love with David as if it was
his own soul “And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments,
even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.” Later when Jonathan was killed, David lamented, “I am distressed
for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of
Actually, Saul gave David one of his daughters, but as David gained a following and power Saul attempted to kill him.
When David was forced to run, Saul gave David's wife to another man. David would eventually get her back, but in the
mean time he picked up another two wives in the wilderness. The first was Abigail wife of Nabal, a very rich man. Nabal
had refuse supplies for David's little army. However, Abigail secretly put together supplies for David to prevent an attack.
David took her as his wife after God gave Nabal a heart attack. He also took a woman named Ahinoam as his wife. Their
firstborn was named Amnon. As a young adult, he would fall in love and then rape his sister Tamar. For this he was
killed by another of David's children, their brother Absalom. Absalom was a meek man who gained enough power to try
to take the kingdom from his father David. Although he failed, he did shame his father by having sex with ten of his
concubines on the palace roof while David was out of the city. David never attempt to punish his sons.
David loved women and as we have seen, it didn't matter if they were married. The big story of course is his taking
Bathsheba. David first saw her from the roof of his palace while she was taking a bath. He discovered she was the wife
of Uriah, one of his best front line soldiers. Yet, he had her brought to the palace were they had sex. You don't call
mandatory sex with the king rape, do you? Needless to say, Bathsheba became pregnant. What to do?
Even a king has problem covering up a pregnancy of a distant warriors wife, especially with all those pesky laws of God
and the Levites. However, having the fully benefit of God's love, David chose to bring the warrior Uriah home so he
could have sex with his wife. Then he could be returned to the war. Unfortunately, Uriah was a total warrior at heart who
could not enjoy the comforts of home and his wife as long as his comrades were roughing it in the middle of a war. To
honor David, he slept at David's palace door.
Since Uriah failed to have sex with Bathsheba, David's solution to cover up the pregnancy and rape was to have Uriah
sent to the extreme front line, then have the other soldiers pull back, leaving him isolated and alone. Just as planned,
Uriah was killed and David took Bathsheba as his wife. However, God didn't like David's little piece of trickery in killing
Uriah. God's response was to kill their newborn son.
Not to worry though, God loved Bathsheba and David's second son Solomon. When David was about to die, he
appointed Solomon king. He also ask Solomon to clear up some unfinished business. One of the first orders of business
was to get rid of his military commander Joab who had conspired with David in the killing of Bathsheba's husband
Uriah. Joab was also responsible for his son Absalom's death. The next order of business was to take care of Shimei
who had once cursed David – even though David had actually swore not to harm him – but – that promise did not apply
Solomon's first order of business as king was to get rid of his elder brother Adonijah, who was actually first in line for the
throne. Adonijah's major mistake was asking to take Abishag, David's young concubine, as his wife, which would have
solidified his claim to the throne.
According to 1 Kings 11, God had personally appeared to Solomon twice during his life. However, “king Solomon loved
many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians,
and Hittites: – And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away
his heart,” just as God had foretold when He forbid the Israelites to associate with these nations.
God was extremely upset with Solomon and promise to take the kingdom away from him, but because of His love for
David, he wouldn't take the kingdom just yet. He would wait and take it from his son Roboam after Solomon died.
This set the stage for the rebirth of the religion in the New Testament under the management of a Levite called Jesus.
In Luke 1, we find the angel, who visited Abraham and Sarah and gave her a child, visiting the priest Zacharias and his
wife Elisabeth. Special note is given that she is from the line of Aaron, God's first chosen Levite priest. The angel is
named Gabriel and he states that Elisabeth will have a child even though both are too old to create a child. The
resulting child was named John.
Six Months later the angel Gabriel visited Elisabeth's cousin Mary, a virgin, who was engaged to marry Joseph, a
descendant of king David. Gabriel told her she would conceive before she got married. Gabriel said, “And, behold, thou
shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” The strange part is that Gabriel
indicated Jesus was actually form the line of David and he was supposed resurrect the throne of his father David and
rule over the Israelites. Gabriel said, “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God
shall give unto him the throne of his father David: – And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his
kingdom there shall be no end.”
The story gets more interesting in Matthew 1, were Joseph and Mary are already married when he discovers she is
pregnant. He put her away to think about it. Apparently he sends her to visit Elisabeth. As we have seen, it is hard to
question a Levite, and of course, Gabriel appears in a dream to confirm that she has been impregnated by the Holy
Ghost and “ he shall save his people from their sins.”
Jesus was a great healer and teacher who separated himself from the old doctrine by refusing to judge people. The
greatest example is given in John 8, when he refused to judge a woman taken in adultery. He said, “Ye judge after the
flesh; I judge no man.” He turn the table on the scribes and Pharisees when he said, “He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her. – When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her,
Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? – She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said
unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”
The United States has a history of not only freedom of religion, but freedom from religion. The current trend toward
religious fanaticism by so call conservative politicians does not fit with our past and offers nothing for the future except
misery. Using the history of this incestuous family (true or not) to subjugate the people, especially women, of the United
States with some kind of unnecessary guilt trip is totally wrong as long as we consider this to be a Christian nation.
Enacting laws that not only allow, but require doctors to lie to their women patients who will have no recourse is
unethical, immoral and downright dangerous for the doctor as well as the nation. These politicians may think it is good
for an anti-abortion nut to kill a doctor doing his duty, but, what do they think will happen to a doctor who deliberately
destroys the life of a wife and mother by failing to do his/her duty? The results could be a return to those ancient works
in the search for a pattern, and a law of reciprocity to live by – an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth!
